One shot. Clear choices.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information RICOCHET collects, why it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

Effective and last updated:

On device

Guest play stays local

Guest progress, settings, and reminder schedules are stored on your device unless you choose to sign in and sync.

Your choice

Camera use is optional

RICOCHET accesses a photo only when you choose one for your player profile. You can use the built-in avatar instead.

Advertising

Ad privacy controls apply

Google Mobile Ads may process device and ad-interaction data. Where required, a consent form is shown before ads are requested.

Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the RICOCHET mobile game for Android and iOS (package identifier com.coders.ricochetX), its game account services, leaderboards, and related support. “RICOCHET,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the RICOCHET Team, the developer and operator of these services.

This policy does not control the independent practices of Google, Apple, app stores, advertising partners, or websites you visit by following an external link.

Information we collect

Advertising data Advertising or app identifiers, IP address, device details, approximate location derived from IP, consent choices, ad requests, impressions, clicks, and diagnostics. Processed by Google Mobile Ads when ads are enabled, subject to consent and device settings.
Technical and security data IP address, request time, device or user-agent information, API errors, and server security logs. When your device communicates with our server.
Purchase information Purchase status and the resulting ad-removal entitlement. We do not receive your full payment-card number. When you make or restore an in-app purchase.

Camera, photos, and notifications

  • Camera and photo-library access is requested only when you choose to add a profile photo. A guest photo remains on the device. If a signed-in player saves it to their account, the photo is uploaded to our server and may be displayed with their public profile.
  • Daily reminders are optional and off by default. Their schedule and message are generated on your device; RICOCHET does not use a remote push-notification service for these reminders.

How we use information

We use information described above to:

  • create, authenticate, secure, and restore player accounts;
  • save and sync progress across devices;
  • operate levels, rewards, streaks, leaderboards, and profiles;
  • remember preferences and schedule requested local reminders;
  • provide ads, rewarded-ad features, and ad privacy choices;
  • process and restore the support purchase that removes ads;
  • detect abuse, protect the API, debug errors, and improve reliability;
  • answer support, privacy, and account-deletion requests; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

We do not use the camera or your profile photo for facial recognition, biometric identification, or training artificial intelligence models.

How information is shared

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Public game features. Display names, public player IDs, avatars, ranks, bounce counts, and shot times may appear on leaderboards or shared score cards.
  • Service providers. Hosting and infrastructure providers may process account, gameplay, photo, and technical data so they can operate the RICOCHET server for us.
  • Google. Google may process data for Google Sign-In, Google Mobile Ads, consent management, and Google Play purchases.
  • Apple. Apple may process data for Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose data when reasonably necessary to follow law, respond to valid legal process, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect people, rights, and services.
  • Business changes. Information may transfer as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale, subject to applicable law and this policy's protections.

We do not directly sell personal information for money. Advertising partners may process or disclose identifiers and ad-interaction data for advertising as described in their policies and according to your consent choices and applicable law.

Advertising and in-app purchases

Google Mobile Ads

RICOCHET uses Google Mobile Ads for banner, limited interstitial, and optional rewarded advertising. Google and participating ad partners may use device identifiers, IP address, device information, and ad interactions to deliver, measure, limit, and protect ads. Where the law requires consent, the game requests it before asking Google for ads. Buying the ad-removal product disables these ads in RICOCHET after the entitlement is active.

Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and Google advertising technologies information. You may also review your Google ad settings and device privacy settings.

Store purchases

In-app payments and purchase restoration are handled by Google Play or Apple's App Store. The store handles your payment credentials and provides the game with purchase status. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. See Apple's Privacy Policy or Google's policy linked above.

Your choices and controls

  • Play as a guest: you may play without Google or Apple sign-in. Guest progress is stored on the device and may be lost if the app is removed or device data is cleared.
  • Profile: use a nickname and built-in avatar instead of a real name or photo. You can change profile details in the app.
  • Camera and photos: deny or revoke access in your operating-system settings. Core gameplay remains available.
  • Notifications: reminders are off by default. You can turn them off in RICOCHET or system notification settings.
  • Ads: use the consent form when presented and your Google or device ad controls. You can also purchase ad removal.
  • Sign-out: signing out removes the active app session but does not by itself delete the server account or public scores.

Account deletion and retention

Request deletion

To request deletion of your RICOCHET account and associated data, email biratheeban@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my RICOCHET account.” Include your public player ID or the email associated with Google or Apple sign-in so we can locate and verify the correct account. Do not send a password or sign-in token.

A verified deletion removes or de-identifies the account profile, linked sign-in identity, uploaded profile photo, saved progress, currencies, streaks, and linked score records from active systems, unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving a transaction or dispute. Residual copies may remain temporarily in restricted backups until those backups cycle out.

Device-local data can be removed by clearing RICOCHET's app storage or uninstalling the game. Deleting the game does not automatically delete a signed-in server account. Deleting a RICOCHET account does not delete your Google Account, Apple Account, or app-store purchase history.

We otherwise keep account and gameplay information while the account remains active and for as long as reasonably necessary for the uses in this policy. Short-lived security logs and backups are retained only as needed for reliability, security, and legal obligations.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Production communication with the RICOCHET API is intended to use encrypted HTTPS, and account sessions use access tokens. However, no network, device, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

RICOCHET and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data laws. Where required, we use lawful safeguards for international transfers.

Children's privacy

RICOCHET is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum digital consent age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child below that age without legally valid consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

Regional privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise a right, use the contact details below. We may request reasonable information to verify that you control the relevant account. Authorized agents may submit requests where local law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when RICOCHET's features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will revise the date at the top and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the game or store listing. Your continued use after an update is subject to the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
